Plan a quiet maintenance window

Keep check history while pausing status changes and alerts.

Reviewed

Schedule one window

  1. Open the monitor editor and expand Maintenance window.
  2. Enable Schedule one window.
  3. Choose Starts at and Ends at using the local timezone shown in the form.
  4. Save the monitor.

What happens during maintenance

A one-off window lasts from 1 minute to 31 days. Checks continue and are marked as maintenance, but they do not change confirmed status, incidents or alerts. An incident that was already open remains open.

Maintenance is different from Pause, which stops scheduled checks. Use maintenance when you want to keep observing planned work without generating incident transitions.

End or change the window

Uncheck Schedule one window and save to cancel the window or end it early. After maintenance ends, confirmation starts with a fresh streak; an existing incident is not automatically marked recovered.

Times are entered in your local timezone. The form rejects invalid local times, including skipped times during a daylight-saving change. One-off maintenance windows are not copied in monitor exports.
