When the lookout is waiting for a fresh result
Tell an overdue check apart from a confirmed service issue.
Reviewed
Unknown means there is not enough confirmation yet
A newly created monitor can show Unknown while it gathers enough results to confirm status. After maintenance, it may also await a new result. Unknown is not proof that the service is healthy or down.
Delayed means the results are overdue
A result becomes delayed after two effective check intervals plus the configured timeout have passed without a fresh check. For a 3-minute interval and 10-second timeout, that allowance is 6 minutes 10 seconds.
The timing is anchored to the latest check, or the start of monitoring when there is none; a completed maintenance window also provides a fresh timing anchor. Delayed is a freshness indicator, not a synthetic failed check or a new downtime incident.
Find the next useful clue
Check whether the monitor is paused or under maintenance, then inspect its last-checked time and last confirmed status. If you can manage the monitor, request a manual check and review the result.
If several monitors remain delayed, contact [email protected] with the affected monitor names and approximate time. Do not include secret headers or sign-in links.
