Keep your sign-in identity separate from the billing contact.

Your account email
The email in Account → General is used for sign-in and account identity. Changing it requires the current and new inbox confirmation steps.
Your billing contact
The billing notification email belongs to the billing profile. Review it in Account → Billing so invoices and payment-related correspondence can reach the intended contact. Updating it does not change your sign-in email.
Monitor recipients are separate too
Monitor email recipients are chosen from eligible workspace members in Notifications. Neither a billing contact nor an account email change automatically means that a person has been selected to receive monitor alerts.
