Announce planned maintenance
Give visitors a calm heads-up with reviewed times, affected components and a clear plan.

A heads-up from your nest
Business and Enterprise owners and admins can open Status page → Maintenance. Save the status-page draft first. Maintenance notices are separate from public incident updates and from maintenance settings on a monitor.
A notice tells visitors about planned work. It does not pause checks, suppress alerts, change monitor status or send subscriber emails. To quiet alerts during work, configure maintenance separately on each affected monitor.
Prepare a private notice
The title supports 120 characters and the notice supports 4,000. Saving edits leaves the current public wording and times unchanged until you publish again. Each publication replaces the public notice; this is not an incident timeline.
If a local time does not exist because the clocks move forward, choose another time. If the clocks move back and a time happens twice, choose its first or second occurrence. Visitors see the selected timezone and the UTC offset for each endpoint.
- Choose Draft a notice. Add a short title and a plain-language explanation of the work.
- Choose a timezone and start/end times. Use a window between 1 minute and 31 days.
- Select up to 100 published components you can manage, or leave the selection empty for a page-wide notice.
- Save private notice, review your draft, then choose Publish notice and confirm. Your status page must already be published.
Follow the planned window
Scheduled means the start is still ahead. In progress begins at the start time; Completed begins at the end time. These labels follow the clock and do not depend on a monitor check or a server job.
Overlapping notices remain separate. The public page refreshes every 30 seconds while visible, so it picks up time changes and published edits. Latest announcements appear first, with 20 per page and Earlier notices for more. Component health above remains based on checks.
When plans change
Review draft lets you change a notice; save and publish again to share the new details. If another admin saved first, reload before editing again.
Cancel work marks a scheduled or active notice Canceled after confirmation. Published canceled notices stay visible so visitors understand the change. Cancellation cannot be reversed; create a fresh notice for rescheduled work. You can cancel an unpublished draft without making it public.
Unpublish hides a notice, including a canceled one. An uncanceled notice can be reviewed and published again. Completed notices remain history; create a fresh notice for additional work. These actions never change monitor maintenance.
Keep public and private details separate
Only your reviewed wording, public component labels, selected times and timezone are shared. Target URLs, private monitor settings and diagnostic errors are not added automatically. Published labels remain a snapshot if a monitor is renamed or removed.
Unpublishing the whole status page, suspending the workspace or losing status-page eligibility hides all its notices. Public notices are independent of the plan allowance for private detection history.
