Download UptimeOwl from the App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android. Request a sign-in email from the app, then follow the link and confirm. In the updated app, finish with your authenticator code or one saved backup code. First-time setup offers a QR code and On this device? Use a setup key for adding a time-based account manually. Save your ten backup codes privately before continuing. If your email app opens a browser instead, use the app’s manual link-entry option. Keep the link private.
If the app asks you to update before sign-in, install the latest store version, then reopen the original email link if it is still valid. Returning from your authenticator rechecks your pending sign-in; after ten minutes, request a fresh email link. Sign-in stays in secure device storage across app restarts. Sign out from Profile when you no longer want the device connected. Revoking access or deleting the account also ends access.
Your three tabs
Monitors shows current status, recent checks and monitor details. Detections shows incident history. Profile shows your identity, authenticator settings and backup-code count, legal documents, app version and sign-out.
Owners and admins can pause or resume monitors they have permission to manage, directly from the monitor card or detail screen. Viewers and app-review accounts stay read-only. Other monitor settings, members, widgets and billing are managed on the website.
Live updates
While connected, the app receives monitor changes, check results and detections without pulling to refresh. After a connection interruption it reconnects and refreshes its view.
Background push notifications are available after you enable Mobile push in Profile → Notifications and complete registration for that device. They are separate from live updates while the app is connected. Device permissions and settings still control notification delivery.
