When a JSON value looks right but does not match
Distinguish text, numbers, booleans, null and missing fields.
Reviewed
The type is part of the value
In the example, available is the text "true", not the boolean true. A Must equal rule using value type True fails; a Text rule with expected value true matches.
{"available":"true","queue":0,"note":null}Null is present; missing is absent
Must exist accepts note because its value is present, even though it is null. A path not present in the response fails, including with Must not equal. Use a path to a real field rather than treating missing as a different value.
Check arrays and capitalization
Use zero-based array indexes such as results.0.status. Text equality is case-sensitive, and comparison rules accept scalar values rather than objects or lists. Inspect a safe sample response when choosing the path and type.
